this a demo reel of some films I wrote and directed as a student (2014-2017).
On January 13th 2013, my father, Dan Klein, ran his first marathon. Waking up at the crack of dawn, he ran (and walked) 26.2 miles, through one of his favorite places in the world, “The Happiest Place on Earth.”
Two days earlier, on January 11th, his father, Steve Klein, had died suddenly at his home in Seattle.
This is a short film about loss, my dad’s experience running through grief, and finding something new.
